| S.A.T. Animal Rescue. The animal rescue charity specialising in dogs abandoned in the Costa Blanca area of Spain. Sociedad Protectora para Animales de Torrevieja or S.A.T. was founded in 1992 by a group of people who saw the need for a sanctuary for the abandoned dogs that roamed the streets of Torrevieja. |

Today, the kennels, a registered charity No 3463 with the Valencian Community & registered with Torrevieja Town Hall. We are situated on the outskirts of Dolores and have the facility to house 70 dogs. The aim of S.A.T. Animal Rescue is to prevent unnecessary suffering and help find new homes for the many abandoned dogs within the Costa Blanca area of Spain although the increase in recent years of animal sanctuaries throughout the region means that the problems in the more immediate area of the Vega Baja can be dealt with more readily.
S.A.T. Animal Rescue is fortunate in having a large number of dedicated volunteers but new volunteers are always needed to help walking the dogs , cleaning at the kennels, fundraising or helping out at the S.A.T. Animal Rescue Charity shops in Guardamar and La Marina or the Sunday charity sales at San Luis and San Miguel.
If you find an abandoned dog please call the kennels for advice and assistance; dogs can only be accepted by prior arrangement. Costa Blanca Spain
