How have we obtained your personal data?

We have obtained your personal data through previous relationships that you have maintained with SAT, or through the relationships that you currently maintain with us, either because or your status as a socio, friend or volunteer, because you have been a donor, or have participated in any or our campaigns or have requested that we send you promotional information about our activities, campaigns and initiatives.

Why do we process your personal data?

In order to fulfil our mission to promote the good treatment of animals and to attend by all legal means to their protection and defence, we process the data of our socios, volunteers, friends, donors and activists for the following purposes:

  • Send information about SAT via SMS, telephone, postal mail, email even when our relationship has ended unless the person concerned withdraws consent
  • Solicit donations, increases in fees, and other types of participation (signing campaigns, buying products, etc.)
  • Invitations to functions or events arranged by SAT
  • Sending of tax certificates if applicable
  • Satisfaction surveys
  • Basic profiling activities, based on the information that you have directly provided to us, and aimed at ensuring the proper management of the above activities
  • Participation in events organised by SAT

Additionally, we also process your data to send, including by electronic means, promotional communications about activities, campaigns and initiatives of a similar nature to those that you have previously participated in. You may object to receiving this type of promotional communications, now or at any other time, by sending an email to our DPO, secretary@satanimalrescue.com or by sending a request to our postal address, for the attention of the Data Protection Officer.

For what purposes may we process your personal data?

The processing of your personal data related to the maintenance of your relationship with SAT as a socio, volunteer, friend, donor, activist or participant is legitimate as it is necessary to comply with the contractual obligations derived from that relationship. The processing of your personal data for sending promotional information about SAT activities, campaigns or initiatives similar to those in which you have participated responds to a legitimate interest of our organisation and is authorised by current regulations.

The personal data that we will process for the legitimate purposes set out below are limited to your corporate contact information related to the company, entity or organisation for which you work or represent.

Why do we process your personal data?

We process your corporate contact data for the sole purpose of being able to maintain the commercial, contractual or collaborative relationships that SAT maintains with your company, entity or organisation for which you work or represent.

Additionally, we also process your data to send, including by electronic means, communications about activities, campaigns and initiatives of a similar nature to those that you have previously participated in, or about which you have requested information or have directed any request to our organisation.

You can opt out of receiving this type of communication, now or at any other time, by sending an email to our DPO, or by sending a request to our postal address, for the attention of the Data Protection Officer.

For what purposes may we process your personal data?

The processing of your corporate contact data related to maintaining the relationship of the company, entity or organisation for which you work or represent with SAT responds to a legitimate interest of our organisation, expressly recognised by the privacy regulations.

When and for what reason can we provide your data to third parties?

Your data may be transferred to the recipients indicated below, for the reasons indicated:

  • Public Authorities: for the fulfilment of the legal obligations to which SAT is subject for its activity
  • Those assignments to third parties that are necessary to comply with the obligations resulting from the campaigns, activities and initiatives in which you voluntarily participate
  • Providers who need to access your data for the provision of services that SAT has contracted with them, and with whom SAT has signed the necessary confidentiality and personal data processing contracts necessary and required by the regulations to protect your privacy. If in the future SAT makes other transfers of personal data, it will inform you promptly.

How long will we keep your data?

Your personal data will be kept as long as your relationship with SAT is maintained and, after the end of that relationship for any reason, as long as you do not notify us otherwise and during the applicable legal limitation periods. In this case, your data will be processed for the sole purpose of proving compliance with our legal or contractual obligations. Once these limitation periods have expired, your data will be deleted or, alternatively, anonymised.

What are your rights?

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, deletion and portability, limitation and/or refusal of treatment, through the postal and electronic addresses indicated. Likewise, if you consider that the processing of your personal data violates the regulations or your privacy rights, you can submit a complaint to our Data Protection Officer through the postal and electronic addresses indicated or to the Spanish Data Protection Agency, through its electronic portal, or its postal address.
