MIKEY

Mikey arrived in appalling condition. He had sores and old scars all over his body. He was dirty, with a thick, black subsense on parts of his fur. Parts of his ears were missing and extremely tender, but the most distressing feature was the absence of his nose.
After a thorough examination by veterinarian Jose Luis and the administration of blood tests, Mikey was fortunate enough to receive a much-needed bath, which removed the black substance and helped remove some dry blood from his ears.
The results of his blood test unveiled that he tested positive for Leishmaniosis, which was likely the primary cause of his missing nose, coupled with an autoimmune disease. Despite his ailments, Mikey, is a happy boy who is around 7 years old and is receiving the necessary medication for his skin and ears, as well as treatment for Leishmaniosis and the autoimmune condition.
