PERLA

We were contacted from Andres at El Loco de los Perros and asked to help a dog who had been roaming the countryside with her leg trapped in a chain around her neck.

When Perla arrived at our kennels, she was very thin, nervous, and clearly unsure of the world around her. She also appeared to have a problem with her jaw and was suffering from several sores that required treatment. After spending who knows how long struggling to survive on her own, she had every reason to be frightened.

Since then, Perla has begun to settle into her new surroundings, and the transformation has been wonderful to see. She is now a completely different girl from the one who first arrived. Perla is always so pleased to see you in the mornings, greeting everyone with a wagging tail and a happy face. Seeing her confidence grow a little more each day reminds us why we do what we do.

She really is a sweet girl, and we are so proud of how far she has come already. From a frightened dog she has blossomed into a happy, playful girl who is finally enjoying the love, care, and security she deserves.
